
Disability Rights of West Virginia (DRWV) is the federally designated Protection and Advocacy (P&A) system for all persons with disabilities throughout the State of West Virginia. With offices in Charleston and Bridgeport, DRWV protects and advocates for the human and legal rights of persons with disabilities. DRWV has dedicated staff committed to assisting all persons with disabilities in overcoming any barriers that they are or may be experiencing. Our goal is to assist all persons with achieving full inclusion and complete access to all facilities, programs and services.

Client Assistance Program (CAP) Advocate

DRWV is seeking an Advocate to work in the Client Assistance Program (CAP). This position will advocate on behalf of persons who receive services, or are trying to receive services, from the West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services or a Center for Independent Living and may be experiencing difficulties or barriers to receiving these services or who may disagree with proposed services.
The Position is Full-Time and will be based in either Charleston or Bridgeport, West Virginia. Regular state-wide travel to conduct outreach is an essential function of this position. Persons with a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant area, a paralegal certificate, or 1-2 years’ experience in disability services will be considered.

Protection and Advocacy for Individuals with Mental Illness (PAIMI) Program Advocate

The position requires experience and knowledge of persons with disabilities, with a specific focus and dedication on assisting persons with mental illness.
The Position is Full-Time and will be based in Bridgeport, West Virginia. Regular state-wide travel to conduct outreach is an essential function of this position.
